There are several ways you can order your prescription, the easiest way is to download the NHS App. Alternatively, you can contact your nominated pharmacy who may be able to order on your behalf. Prescriptions can still be handed in to reception.
If your doctor has approved you for repeat prescriptions you can order them in a number of ways:
In Person - by ticking the items you require on the repeat slip and dropping it in the box at reception.
By Post - enclosing a self-addressed stamped envelope for its return.
Online - follow the link at the top of this page and complete a simple registration. Please choose your collection point. If the pharmacy you are requesting is marked with an asterix please contact the pharmacy to let them know you have requested a prescription. You can also register for Patient Services, please see home page.
Please allow two full working days between requesting and collecting your prescription from the surgery. For deliveries and collection from a pharmacy please allow four working days.
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see either a doctor or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications.
Help with NHS costs
In England, around 90% of prescription items are dispensed free. This includes exemptions from charging for those on low incomes, such as:
These charges apply in England only. In Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales prescriptions are free of charge.
If you will have to pay for four or more prescription items in three months or more than 14 items in 12 months, you may find it cheaper to buy a PPC.
There is further information about prescription exemptions and fees on the NHS website.
Worcestershire CCGs no longer support the prescribing of certain medications including over the counter medicines (for example paracetamol and ibuprofen), gluten-free products, baby milk and specialist infant formula and oral nutritional supplements.
